Learning Strategy

I’m an instructional designer who creates accessible solutions that make complex information easier to use. I focus on real learner needs and creating learning that helps people do their jobs better.

Meeting learners where they are with design that drives results.

My team needed help creating content to prepare for the upcoming ADA Title II Digital Accessibility requirement deadline. Our most immediate need was to help the BGSU teaching community develop accessible Microsoft Word documents, so I contacted Caitlin to see if she could help. She developed and facilitated a 90-minute interactive Zoom session and a companion guide for creating accessible documents. Caitlin’s virtual facilitation style was clear, inclusive, and accessible, and she ensured participants felt comfortable asking questions at any point. She incorporated thoughtful, engaging activities such as polls and Padlet reflections throughout. In addition to developing the session, she went above and beyond our original plan and created a series of high-quality micro-learning videos on topics addressed in the session for participants to view afterward. Throughout the entire process, Caitlin was in communication with me to share progress, make sure that center and university guidelines and policies were followed, and to be sure expectations were being met. Caitlin is organized, detail-oriented, meets deadlines, and genuinely great to work with!
